Two games were scheduled in Mankato today, one was played.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Game one was at 12:05 and Mankato was unable to pull out the win losing 9-8.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Casey Sorg (Bellarmine) hit a home run in his second straight game in the first inning putting Mankato up by 3.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mankato would score again in the fourth on an RBI triple from Josh Alexander (Louisiana Lafayette) to put them up 5-2 over Badlands.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the top of the 6th Badlands offense broke open scoring 7 runs and taking the lead 9-5.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mankato would make a bit of a comeback in the 6th and 7th on an RBI double from Ryan Ward (San Diego) and a single from Zach Crandall (Utah) but it was not enough as they fell short in the end.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mankato\u2019s Alex Thomas (Northwestern) got the start on the mound throwing 1 \u2154 innings and leaving with an apparent injury.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tonight’s game at 6:35 was initially delayed multiple times due to heavy rain and standing water in left field. This game was eventually canceled and will be made up later this summer in Dickinson. <\/span><\/p>\n
