{"id":17300,"date":"2026-05-29T10:08:24","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T15:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/mankato-moondogs\/?p=17300"},"modified":"2026-05-29T10:11:51","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T15:11:51","slug":"17300","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/mankato-moondogs\/2026\/05\/29\/17300\/","title":{"rendered":"MoonDogs end winning streak with loss to Larks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MANKATO, MINN. &#8211; The Mankato MoonDogs were shut out by the Bismarck Larks in a 12-0 final on Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The game remained competitive through the first six innings thanks to a strong outing from starting pitcher Luke Ballantyne.\u00a0Ballantyne threw 5.0 innings, allowing just 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out 6 batters.<\/p>\n<p>The MoonDogs offense collected 6\u00a0hits on the night, with Jack Mislan recording the team\u2019s lone extra-base hit with\u00a0a double. Justin Rompre, Liam Ebbs, Anthony Avalos, Peyton Dickens, and Landon Williams also added hits for Mankato.<\/p>\n<p>Bismarck broke the game open in the seventh inning, scoring 10 runs to extend their lead. Logan Aguilar, Ricardo Aponte, and Joey Canzoni each drove in 3 runs for the Larks.<\/p>\n<p>The MoonDogs will look to bounce back on May 29th when they face the Willmar Stingers for the third time this week.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center\">###<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Northwoods League is the proven leader in developing elite college baseball players.
