A two run homerun effort sent them ahead 2-0 in the top of the third.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The MoonDogs rallied in the same inning, scoring first off of an RBI double by Kyle Hvidsten (Liberty University). A sacrifice fly from Caleb Barnett (University of Alabama) tied up the game 2-2 at the conclusion of the third.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Evan Saunders (Wichita State University) put the MoonDogs ahead in the fourth, hitting a solo home run to make it a 3-2 game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After a scoreless fifth inning, the Honkers scored on a wild pitch in the sixth. Mankato also scored off of a ground out play, overtaking the lead 4-3.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The MoonDogs added another run in the seventh, scoring off of an error by the Honkers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Saunders added an RBI double to score another run for the Dogs. This increased their lead to 6-3.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This would be the final score of the game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The MoonDogs will travel to St. Cloud for tomorrow\u2019s game. The first pitch at Municipal Athletic Field will be thrown at 6:35 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">###<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Northwoods League is the proven leader in developing elite college baseball players. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, over 410 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and two-time World Series Champion Max Scherzer (TOR), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford and World Series Champion Chris Sale (ATL).
