The first game of tonight\u2019s doubleheader was exactly what the MoonDogs needed. An offensive explosion to start the game gave MoonDogs starter Will Krout more than he needed to pick up his league leading 7th complete game of the year and improved his record to 8-2. Even though the final score was 9-3, Krout managed to lower his ERA, as all 3 Bucks runs were unearned.<\/p>\n

The Shock and Awe campaign unleashed by the MoonDogs started with 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning, and continued in both the second and third innings. The Dogs scored 3 more in the 2nd and 1 more in the 3rd. Landon Danelson finished off the scoring with his second homerun in as many games in the bottom of the 5th.<\/p>\n

Also for the second consecutive night, 5 MoonDogs had a multi-hit game. Led by Ryan Chiarelli, Jeremiah Piepkorn, Jay Nessler, Landon Danelson and Pete Troyer all followed suit.<\/p>\n

GAME 2:
\nIn the second of tonight\u2019s double feature, the MoonDogs were unable to hold off the Bucks as they dropped the second game 7-6. Stifled by the Bucks pitching the \u2018Dogs were only able to get 4 hits in the game.<\/p>\n

However, they showed real heart as they were down by 3 runs with 2 outs and were able to score a run and keep the bases loaded, before a controversial call ended their inning and their rally in the 5th. The following inning another controversial call at 1st base allowed the Bucks to take the lead.<\/p>\n

Jason Conrad started for the MoonDogs going only 2 innings before giving way to Scott Fogelson. Rick Cavaiani finished the game for the MoonDogs. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
