Mankato, MN)–The Mankato MoonDogs Baseball Club, a member of the Northwoods League, is proud to announce the signing of Jordan Prado from Shasta Community College and Brandon Fromm of San Jose State University.<\/p>\n
Fromm, a sweet swinging lefty who comes in at 6-foot 2-inches, 200 pounds, will bring a spark of offense to the MoonDogs this summer. Fromm has exploded onto the college scene and is batting clean-up for the Spartans as just a freshman. <\/p>\n
"Brandon was highly recruited throughout California and quickly showed why, establishing himself as an everyday player for the Spartans. We look for big things from Brandon,\u201d MoonDogs coach Brad Rupert said.<\/p>\n
Fromm, who lead the team in homeruns and ranked third in the RBI department, also can flash the leather as defensively he lead the team in both putouts and fielding percentage.<\/p>\n
Originally from Modesto, Calif., Fromm was a standout at Beyer High School, where he received first team all-league and first team all-district his junior and senior seasons as well as being named to the California State All-Star team.<\/p>\n
Also joining the MoonDogs in 2004 will be Jordan Prado. Prado(5\u201911\u201d 185 lbs), who was scheduled to be a member of the MoonDogs in 2003 until a late season injury abruptly ended his bid, has spent the last two years playing for Coach Rupert at Shasta CC. <\/p>\n
"Having the ability to play everywhere in the field and the amount of energy he has, has gotten Jordan the nickname "Tigger\u201d around the clubhouse,\u201d Rupert said.<\/p>\n
Leading the Knights in almost every offensive category, Prado finished the season with a .420 average, a team high, while also leading the team in hits, at-bats, runs, triples, and RBI. Similarly on defense, Prado\u2019s glove was a staple of the Knights game.<\/p>\n

\u2022 2003 MoonDogs pitcher Brent Jackson, will be unable to play for the MoonDogs in 2004. Focusing on post-graduation plans, Brent will be assisting in coaching and clinics in San Diego, Calif., this summer.<\/p>\n
