\n\tMANKATO, Minn.- The Mankato MoonDogs Baseball Club, a member of the Northwoods League, is excited to announce the commitment of pitchers Austin Kamel and Austin Warner for the 2014 MoonDogs season.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tKamel, a towering six-foot-seven-inch, 220-pound sophomore accumulated a 1.18 ERA as a starter for Oxnard college this spring. He currently has a 5-2 record in 10 appearances, posting 55 strikeouts.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n \n\t"Kamel is a left-hander who is talented and is one of Oxnard's best pitchers," said MoonDogs field manager Mike Orchard. "He's a guy who pitches at the top of the junior college rotation and I think he can come over and pitch well for us."<\/span>\n<\/p>\n \n\tKamel signed a letter of intent to play for Brigham Young University next season. His size combined with the ability to throw 87 to 91 mph makes him an imposing figure on the mound.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n \n\tWarner, a five-foot-ten-inch, 170-pound sophomore has a 3.54 ERA this spring with Bellarmine University. He has appeared in 7 games for the Knights with 40.2 innings pitched and 22 strikeouts. Before coming to Bellarmine, Warner earned All-District honors and recorded 19 strikeouts in a single game for Trinity High School.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
