\n\tMankato, MN – The Mankato MoonDogs (8-10) were able to sweep Friday night’s double header against the Duluth Huskies (10-7) by scores of 2-1 and 6-2 at Franklin Rogers Park in front of a crowd of 1,218 in Mankato, Minnesota.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tIn game one, Craig Nennig provided the late inning heroics as he drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Nennig went 1-for-4 with one RBI and a run scored.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tTaking the hill for the MoonDogs was Rhett Rapshus (0-1) who went five innings scattering seven hits and only allowed one run while striking out three.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tSamuel Myers (1-0) and Ricky Ramirez (1-1) worked the final four innings allowing just two hits and combined for five strikeouts. Ramirez picked up the win, his first of the year as Mankato would take game one 2-1. Landon Smith took the loss for Duluth.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tGame two was a different story. The MoonDogs would jump out to an early three run lead and never look back.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tOffensively for the MoonDogs Hunter Mercado-Hood went 2-for-4 while Paul Panaccione, Kyle Weston, and Kevin Hall would all drive in runs.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tStarting pitcher Brett Clark (2-0) would provide another strong outing as we went six complete innings allowing only two runs and struck out three. He would pick up the win in game two.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe MoonDogs hit the road to Thunder Bay for one game on Saturday, and after an off day travel to Waterloo. Returning to The Frank Wednesday June 17 at 7:05pm where it is St. Patty’s Day presented by Printwear Graphics. \n<\/p>\n
