\n\tMankato, MN – The Mankato MoonDogs (5-7, 23-25) would battle back and fourth with the Rochester Honkers (8-5, 28-19) but would fall 7-6, despite a strong game by Christoph Bono, Monday night at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato, Minnesota.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tDespite allowing 10 runs on 14 hits the MoonDogs pitchers struck out 16 Honkers batters. Starting pitcher Grant Hamilton would have eight and reliever Samuel Myers would add seven more. Both would allow five runs in the game.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tChristoph Bono powered the offense, as he would go 3-for-4 with four RBI’s a night after recording his first hit as a MoonDog. He also scored one run in the game.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tMikel Mucha who went 2-for-5 and Kyle Weston who was 1-for-4 would be the only other MoonDogs to drive in runs.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tFor the Honkers Alex Schultz would go 2-for-4 with two RBI’s and Scott Schreiber would go 3-for-5 with three RBI’s. Seven Honker’s would add hits in the game.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tPicking up the win would be Spencer Greer (3-1) the loss would go to Samuel Myers (3-4).\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe MoonDogs will take to the road after spending the last seven days at the friendly confines of The Frank to take on the Eau Claire Express in Eau Claire, Returning to Mankato on Thursday July 16 for a two game series against the Duluth Huskies. \n<\/p>\n
