{"id":4750,"date":"2015-07-15T07:29:09","date_gmt":"2015-07-15T07:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/mankato-moondogs\/?p=4750"},"modified":"2015-07-15T07:29:09","modified_gmt":"2015-07-15T07:29:09","slug":"express-walk-off-bell-shines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/mankato-moondogs\/2015\/07\/15\/express-walk-off-bell-shines\/","title":{"rendered":"Express Walk Off, Bell Shines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tEau Claire, WI &ndash; Brinn Bell goes 5-for-5 with a home run, but the Express would down the MoonDogs on a walk-off single in the ninth inning 5-4 at Carson Park on Tuesday night.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAfter the Mankato MoonDogs (23-26, 5-8) tied the game in the top of the ninth on a Kaden Moore RBI single, the Eau Claire Express (18-30, 5-9) would get an RBI single off the bat of Teddy Cillis for a walk-off win in Eau Claire.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe MoonDogs would bring the game to a one-run affair in the fourth inning, when Christoph Bono scored on an error making it a 4-3 game. The next 4 1\/2 innings would be scoreless for both teams as relief pitching would take control of the ballgame.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMankato would be led in the game by Brinn Bell, who went 5-for-5 with a long home run to right field in the loss. The impressive night for Bell would push his average to .323 on the season as he scored one run and drove in another. The five hit game tied a season high in the NWL for hits in a game by an individual.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tVictor Sanchez (2-0) would pick up the win with Chris Butcher (3-1)&nbsp; being charged with the loss for Mankato.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe MoonDogs will look for the series split with the Express on Wednesday, first pitch will be at 6:35 PM at Carson Park.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:12px\"><em><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">&quot;The Mankato MoonDogs are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
