{"id":4845,"date":"2015-08-10T03:17:12","date_gmt":"2015-08-10T03:17:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/mankato-moondogs\/?p=4845"},"modified":"2015-08-10T03:18:39","modified_gmt":"2015-08-10T03:18:39","slug":"finale-ends-with-a-bang-for-moondogs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/mankato-moondogs\/2015\/08\/10\/finale-ends-with-a-bang-for-moondogs\/","title":{"rendered":"Finale Ends With a Bang For MoonDogs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tMankato, MN &ndash; The MoonDogs would end the 2015 season with bang as they would sweep the Express by a score of 10-1 at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato, Minnesota to end another&nbsp;season of MoonDogs baseball Sunday night.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe crowd of 1,330 would again see the Mankato MoonDogs (15-21, 33-39) offense explode for 10 runs on 12 hits in the game. While the Eau Claire Express (16-21, 29-42) would be held to just one run on five hits in the game.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMoonDogs starting pitcher Reece Eddins would get his tenth start of the season and would work five plus innings for his sixth straight appearance. He would save one of his best performances of the year for last. Eddins finished with a final line of 5 2\/3 innings pitched only allowing one run on four hits, while striking out three.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAt the plate the MoonDogs would have a busy night. Brinn Bell would go 3-for-5 with one RBI. Last night&rsquo;s hero Kyle Weston would add two RBI&rsquo;s, as well as David Metzgar and Kevin Hall. Six MoonDogs in total would tally at least one RBI on the night.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFor the Express Teddy Cillis and Travon Benton would each have two hits.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe win would go to Eddins (2-3), and Michael Gomez (3-2) would take the loss.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe entire Mankato MoonDogs organization would like to thank all of our sponsors, fans, players and coaches for making 2015 another memorable season of MoonDogs baseball.
