\n\tMANKATO, MN—The Mankato MoonDogs returned to Franklin Rogers Park to take on the Willmar Stingers in the final game of what had originally been scheduled as a four-game series between the two teams before yesterday’s matchup was postponed because of rain.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe MoonDogs certainly took care of business, not only tonight but the entire series, winning the final two games; this one by a score of 14-1.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Stingers, who appeared to have had the MoonDogs’ number this season by winning the first three matchups between the teams, appear to have forgotten the formula to beat the ‘Dogs having now dropped two in a row.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tJake Shepski and Marcus Pingleton set the tone right away for Mankato, ripping back-to-back home runs in the first inning to give the ‘Dogs an early 2-0 lead. The MoonDogs continued knocking the ball all over the park totaling 16 hits before it was all finished.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe homeruns marked Shepski’s fourth of the year, while Pingleton’s brought him to two on year.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tJordan Harms started for the MoonDogs and was dominant, not giving up a single run over six innings, allowing just three hits, while striking out two. In total, MoonDogs pitching allowed just one run on six hits for the night.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe MoonDogs will stay at home tomorrow as they begin a two-game series against the St. Cloud Rox, both at Franklin Rogers Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.\n<\/p>\n
