\n\tMankato, Minnesota— The Mankato MoonDogs took on the Thunder Bay Border Cats at Franklin Rogers Park for an Independence Day game, and were able to emerge with the victory by a score of 5-0.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn game that lasted just two hours, the MoonDogs wasted no time, scoring two in the first thanks to RBIs from Jake Shepski (Notre Dame) and Bryce Adams (LSU).\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe ‘Dogs would add another three in the second, including a two-run homerun off the bat of Jordan Washam, his first homerun of the season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter an eventful first two innings, the next seven would be nothing but zeros for both sides.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tRobby Evans got the nod for the ‘Dogs and was fantastic, throwing seven shutout innings while allowing just five hits and striking out five.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKevin Yarabinec came in to finish the game and pitched a scoreless eighth and ninth, not allowing a baserunner and striking one out.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe MoonDogs will be back at The Frank tomorrow to once again take on the Border Cats for the final game of the two game series.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFirst pitch is scheduled for 7:05 and tickets are still available. They can be picked up either at the gates, in their office at 1221 Caledonia St. or online at www.mankatomoondogs.com<\/a>\n<\/p>\n
