\n\tMankato, Minnesota—The Mankato MoonDogs took on the La Crosse Loggers at Franklin Rogers Park for the final time of the regular season, and were able to come away victorious by a score of 8-7.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe game did not start as planned for the MoonDogs who, despite scoring three runs of their own in the first two innings, found themselves trailing early in this one.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tJake Lewis got the start for Mankato, his first of the season, and he would give up seven runs in just 4.2 innings on the bump.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter four innings of ball, the ‘Dogs found themselves trailing 7-3, and the score would stay that way until the seventh inning, when the Mankato offense would erupt for five runs to put the on top for the final time.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tA bases-loaded walk to Mike Brookshaw, is that seventh innings would bring in Chase Hamilton as the winning run.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the ninth, the Loggers would think they tied it after a fly ball to center with one out and the bases-loaded, however, the runner would leave third early and was called out for not tagging-up, bringing this one to an end.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBrian Gadsby and Kevin Yarabinec would pitch the eighth and ninth innings for Mankato, each pitching a scoreless frame to close out the game for Mankato. Yarabinec would be awarded the save, his seventh of the season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTonight was Jordan Washam’s final game in a MoonDogs jersey, as he heads back to school, and he woud leave with a bang, going 3-for-4 at the dish with two runs scored and two driven in on two doubles.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTomorrow, the MoonDogs will be hosting the Thunder Bay Border Cats for a double-header, with the first game beginning at 5:05 p.m. and the second following 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first.\n<\/p>\n
