The Mankato MoonDogs are proud to announce four additions to the 2018 roster:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jack Zigan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jack Zigan (RHP), a freshman from Cal Poly, is returning home to Minnesota to play for the MoonDogs.\u00a0 Originally from Eden Prairie, Zigan led his high school squad to a state championship, with a three-hit complete game to clinch the title.\u00a0 During his senior year, Zigan compiled 90 strikeouts over 73.2 innings, and was named to the All-Lake Conference first team.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Austin Chauvin <\/strong><\/p>\n

Austin Chauvin (INF), a redshirt junior from St. Mary\u2019s, came to the Gaels from San Ramon, CA.\u00a0 Chauvin has a .269 batting average over his college career.\u00a0 After missing most of 2016 with an injury, Chauvin came back in 2017 and set career highs in almost every category.\u00a0 His success has carried over into 2018, where he is on pace to surpass those numbers.<\/p>\n

Blaze Glenn<\/strong><\/p>\n

Blaze Glenn (INF\/OF), a sophomore from Youngstown St., is a transfer from Sinclair Community College.\u00a0 In his season with the Tartan Pride, Glenn hit .393 and helped lead his team to a regular season championship.\u00a0 Glenn holds his Toronto, OH high school\u2019s record for career batting average at .583.\u00a0 He was awarded First Team All-State three times and State Player of the Year twice.<\/p>\n

Roger Danison<\/strong><\/p>\n

Roger Danison, a junior, who is both a pitcher and outfielder for Xavier, will come to the Mankato to pitch. \u00a0Originally from Carroll, OH, Danison won a state championship with his Bloom-Carroll club and was an All-State selection.<\/p>\n

The Mankato MoonDog<\/em>s are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Entering its 25th anniversary season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 20 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, 190 former Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist (CHC) and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (BOS), Jordan Zimmermann (DET) and Curtis Granderson (TOR). \u00a0All league games are viewable live via the\u00a0<\/em>Northwoods League portal<\/em><\/a>.
