Mankato, Minn. \u2014\u00a0<\/strong>Four more guys are headed to The Frank in Mankato this summer. Dayton Dooney, Noah Cardenas, Sky-lar Culver and Austin Lively will all be newcomers for the 18th season of MoonDog Baseball. The infielder quartet will look to provide both offensively as well as defensively in 2019.<\/p>\n

Dayton Dooney \u2013 University of Arizona<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dooney, an infielder from Poway, Calif., played for the Wildcats of the University of Arizona as a freshman this past season. He slugged his way to a .313 batting average with 11 doubles and six home runs along the way. Perez recorded a .405 on base percentage with help from 21 free passes.<\/p>\n

Noah Cardenas \u2013 UCLA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cardenas, another product of UCLA and an infielder, comes to the MoonDogs as a freshman as well. A native of Saugus, Calif., hit for a .396 average in 96 at bats that saw 12 RBI and 22 runs scored. Cardenas also hit four doubles, a triple and two home runs in his first campaign as a Bruin.<\/p>\n

Sky-lar Culver \u2013 Arkansas State<\/strong><\/p>\n

Culver, a first baseman from Arkansas State, will be joining the MoonDogs in 2019. A native of Mountain Home, Ark., Culver batted for a .328 average in 2019 where he also blasted seven home runs and 44 RBI in 192 at bats.<\/p>\n

Austin Lively \u2013 Seattle University<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lively, an infielder from Redmond, Wash., is a junior from Seattle University. In 2019, Lively batted .298 with four home runs and 20 RBI. In his two prior seasons he hit as an over ..300 hitter with three home runs and 56 RBI. The junior newcomer will look to help out the MoonDogs at the plate as well as in the field.<\/p>\n

The MoonDogs begin the season with a home game against the Willmar Stingers on Tuesday, May 28, with first pitch scheduled at 7:05 pm.<\/p>\n
