Rochester, Minn. \u2013<\/strong> The Mankato MoonDogs fell in game two to the Rochester Honkers en route to being swept in the home and home series Friday night. The game was ultimately decided by a solo home run for the Honkers in the second.<\/p>\n

The Honkers scored the game\u2019s only run in the second. It came from a home run by Ryan Ober (Oregon State). It gave Rochester a 1-0 lead after the second and ended up being the game-winning run.<\/p>\n

Player Notables:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Producing at the plate for Mankato was Tanner Craig (Evansville) who was the Dogs only batter to notch a multi-hit game in the one-run loss, he went 2-3.<\/p>\n

Earning the win was Rochester\u2019s starter, Landon Anderson (Cal State Fullerton), after he went seven complete innings throwing shutout baseball. Anderson allowed five hits, walked a pair and struck out five others. Keon Taylor (Georgetown College) notched the save with two strikeouts in the ninth.<\/p>\n

The MoonDogs starter on Friday was Tyler Lesley (Angelo State) He pitched five innings allowing five hits and a run while walking four and retiring two on strikeouts. He was handed the loss for allowing the game\u2019s only run. Hayden Juenger (Missouri State) pitched the final three frames and surrendered one hit and struck out two.<\/p>\n

Due up for the Dogs:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Up next for the Mankato MoonDogs (13-19) is the St. Cloud Rox (19-11) for a road series. Jack Schneider (Grand Canyon) will be the starting arm for the Dogs in game one tomorrow. First pitch goes out at 6:05 p.m. at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud, Minn.<\/p>\n
