Mankato, Minn\u00a0<\/b>– The Mankato MoonDogs are jubilated to announce three new MoonDogs this summer, Corey Sanchez, Charles McAdoo, and Cade Verdusco.\u00a0 All West Coast kids coming to the Midwest for Summer!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Corey Sanchez- San Jose State University<\/b><\/p>\n

There are shades of Billy Wagner in our next Moondogs player. Another of the new additions who previously played in the West Coast league. Corey Sanchez is a left handed pitcher out of San Jose State University. The Spartans are currently pitching out of the pen with a 3.79 ERA this season. Sanchez has 15 strikeouts to only 9 walks on the season with a stellar 3-0 record. Expect to see him make some hitters look silly <\/span>at ISG<\/span> Field<\/span>.\u00a0 The organization can\u2019t wait to see what the versatile lefty can bring.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Charles McAdoo- San Jose State University\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The sophomore from San Jose State is the utility man with the action plan. Posting <\/span>a .378<\/span> batting average this year, with 3 bombs and 18 RBIs McAdoo is a coach\u2019s dream. Playing wherever he\u2019s needed, and bashing the ball when given the chance. The California Kid played in the Expedition League last year and mashed an astounding .372 with 8 home runs. The communications major is a former football player who still runs routes from time to time. Maybe you can throw him a pass this summer. However, we can\u2019t wait to see Charles all over the field this summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Cade Verdusco- Grand Canyon University\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The \u2018Dogs are jubilated to see this Business Major from Grand Canyon University! Cade, in his first season of play for the Antelope Hit .274 with an <\/span>OPS<\/span> above .750.<\/span> He also hit three home runs in his first season as well. This will be Cade\u2019s first season in Mankato after playing in the <\/span>PGC<\/span> last summer. The \u2018Dogs can\u2019t wait to see the <\/span>Sophomore<\/span> at ISG Field!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mankato MoonDogs are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Having completed its\u2019 28th<\/sup>\u00a0season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, over 250 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and MLB Gold Glove finalist and 2019 Second Team All-MLB shortstop Marcus Semien (TOR).
