ST. CLOUD, Minn. <\/strong>— The Mankato MoonDogs were shutout again by the St. Cloud Rox, 9-0, for a second straight night during a game of Northwoods League baseball at Joe Faber Field, Saturday night.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With the loss, the MoonDogs fall to 10-10 on the season while the St. Cloud Rox improve to 14-3 this summer. Mankato is now 0-4 this season against St. Cloud and has been shutout in three of the four meetings this season.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After a scoreless first frame, the Rox pounced on Kyle Moseley<\/b> (Angelo State) for four runs in the second inning. In relief of Moseley, John Lundgren (North Alabama<\/strong>) took the mound with the bases loaded and watched his first pitch sail over the fence in leftfield for a grand slam hit by Brady Prewit<\/strong> (CSU – Pueblo) to cap an eight-run surge for the Rox in the bottom of the second inning.<\/p>\n

After St. Cloud scored one more run off Lundgren in the third inning, the Rox cruised to the finish while riding their nine-run lead for a 9-0 victory.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Picking up his second win of the summer was Rox left-handed pitcher Nathan Culley<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>(Minnesota State – Mankato). Culley threw five innings of shutout baseball with three hits, three walks and six strikeouts to get the win.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Making his debut on the mound and coming down with the loss after pitching one and a third innings on the hill was Moseley. He surrendered five hits and seven runs while walking three and striking out one.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ariel Armas<\/strong> (San Diego) was the lone bright spot for the MoonDogs on the offensive. He had a two-for-three night with a pair of singles.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The MoonDogs are back at home to host their first meeting of the season with the Bismarck Larks, Sunday at ISG Field. The MoonDogs will start Weston Lombard<\/strong> (San Fransisco), who is scheduled to deliver the game’s first pitch at 5:05 p.m.<\/p>\n
