At 21-21, the Honeybees enter the postseason as the second-place finishers in the Northwoods. Their high strikeout numbers and power hitting potential have helped them along the way, but there is no test in the NWL like the Madison Night Mares. Have no fear though, the Bees are embracing the underdog role.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To wrap up the regular season, the Honeybees hosted Madison for a three-game series. Despite being swept, Minot still found plenty of positive takeaways from the dramatic, nail-biting games at home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe didn\u2019t deserve to win, but we sure didn\u2019t deserve to lose,\u201d was how Honeybee head coach Craig Montvidas summed up the series. Montvidas referenced the team\u2019s pitching improvement from previous matchups with the Night Mares. The performances inside the circle will be key in the Championship Series as the Honeybees continue to try and fill big shoes left by the departure of Julianna Verni, the Northwoods League strikeout leader.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On offense, the mix of styles have blended nicely for the Honeybees this summer. From speed at the top, to power in the middle, and consistent swings at the bottom, Minot is a force when in rhythm. They will attempt to rekindle some of the success they had against Madison pitching late in the series.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Heading into the best-of-three final, the Minot Honeybees understand the challenge at hand, but also know nothing is impossible, and that\u2019s why the games are being played. If you want to see the Bees chase the Northwoods League Softball title, make sure you get your tickets before they&#8217;re gone!
