Monica Hocking is in her second season as General Manager of the Minot Northwoods League baseball team and her first as the General Manager of the Minot Honeybees Northwoods League softball team. Monica is originally from Papillion, Nebraska, and moved to North Dakota in 2019 for a job with the Bismarck Larks baseball team (also NWL). Monica worked in many different departments and positions with the Larks, including sponsorship sales and activation, inside ticket sales, operations, and special events. Monica’s most recent role with the Larks was as General Manager of Funatix Events, a full-service event company. Monica graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Management and minors in both communications and mathematics. During her time at Missouri State, Monica competed as an NCAA Division I athlete as a swimmer. Monica developed a love for sports at a young age as a die-hard Nebraska Cornhusker football fan. She has a passion for using sports, events, and FUN to make a difference in people’s lives. Monica now calls Minot home with her golden retriever, Odell.
