From twisting double plays to patrolling the hot corner, the Minot Hot Tots have had a knack for flashing the leather on the infield. The latest installment of <\/span>Acme and Kubota Tools on the Field<\/b> features sure-handed shortstops and clean-fielding corner infielders.<\/span><\/p>\n Drew Reaves, Infielder, Georgia Southwestern State University<\/b><\/p>\n You don\u2019t need numbers to figure out Drew Reaves\u2019 defensive talent, just let the awards do the talking. An NJCAA Gold Glove winner at Pensacola State College, Reaves has made a smooth transition to the Division II level at Georgia Southwestern. The junior is capable of playing anywhere on the infield, but is most comfortable at shortstop and third base.<\/span><\/p>\n Reaves has been an everyday ballplayer at Georgia Southwestern since stepping on campus. His batting numbers have seen a rise since his junior college days, climbing to a .297 average through 34 games at GSW. Reaves has already made an introduction to the Hot Tots coaching staff prior to arriving in Minot, playing as Peach Belt Conference rivals to Brian Lewis\u2019 USC Beaufort Sand Sharks.<\/span><\/p>\n Sohrab Rezaei, Infielder, Bradley University<\/b><\/p>\n Up we travel to Peoria, Illinois to find the newest Minot Hot Tot: Sohrab Rezaei. The junior infielder from Bradley University has been stellar in his debut season for the Braves, which comes as no surprise. A mainstay in the leadoff spot, Rezaei hits for contact and has a team-best .462 on-base percentage.<\/span><\/p>\n Rezaei began his collegiate career at Wabash Valley Community College before transferring to South Suburban College. At South Suburban, Rezaei tore up NJCAA Region 4, hitting .388 over a full season with 60 runs scored and 45 driven in. For as much talent was in the bat, Rezaei can field well, too. Primarily a shortstop, he held a .931 fielding percentage as a sophomore.<\/span><\/p>\n Rezaei\u2019s playmaking ability in the box and the dirt will be a welcome addition to the Tots in 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n TJ Stottlemyre, Infielder, San Jacinto Junior College<\/b><\/p>\n Back for another crack at the Northwoods League, TJ Stottlemyre is set for a return to Minot! The sophomore middle infielder played in 30 games for the Hot Tots last summer, finishing his stint with a .352 on-base, 20 runs scored and 16 RBI. A reliable batter for coach Lewis in 2025, Stottlemyre was equally impressive with the glove. Primarily holding down the second base position, TJ also filled in when necessary at shortstop and third base.<\/span><\/p>\n Since heading out of Minot at the end of the summer, Stottlemyre made a move from Cal State Fullerton to San Jacinto Junior College. While playing at one of the top junior college programs in the country, Stottlemyre has started nearly every game for the Ravens.
