THE ULTIMATE INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/a><\/h1>\n

Are you a passionate, hard-working and driven college student looking for real-world experience in sports? Then an internship with the Rochester Honkers is for you! The Honkers have several\u00a0<\/strong>internships available for both the spring semester and summer season. Honkers interns not only learn what it takes to run a baseball club on a daily basis, but also get\u00a0the opportunity to work\u00a0in an exciting, fast-paced environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Come work with an established summer collegiate team and connect yourself with a growing league as you gain valuable experience while having a season you’ll never forget!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rochester Honkers provide you the opportunity to be involved\u00a0in every possible aspect of the organization, which may include tickets sales,\u00a0on-field promotions, concessions management, merchandising, media relations, video production and more. Joining our team\u00a0also gives you the opportunity to work for a five-time champion of the Northwoods League.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Honkers season is a fun-filled 72-game schedule with 36 home games at historic Mayo Field. Full-time internships start during the spring semester and run through the summer season.\u00a0 Summer internships run approximately from mid-May until the third week of August.\u00a0Housing may also be available for select internships.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Ticket Sales Internship\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Coordinate renewals of all flex plans, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Call on all warm leads to upsell ticket packages to single game buyers<\/li>\n
  • Generate leads, prospecting for new potential buyers<\/li>\n
  • Work in Ticket Window on gamedays to sell tickets to walk-up buyers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Community Relations Internship<\/span><\/strong><\/del> – FILLED<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Assist with set up on-field performances from community programs<\/li>\n
    • Coordinate National Anthem performances<\/li>\n
    • Assist with player and mascot appearances in community<\/li>\n
    • Assist in coordinating all fundraisers on gamedays for non-profits<\/li>\n
    • Assist in coordinating all Dream Teams and High Five Teams on gamedays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Social Media\/Promotions Internship\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/del> – FILLED<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Lead all social media platforms for the Honkers including but not limited to the following: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn<\/li>\n
      • Coordinate and create content to run on said platforms on a regular basis to promote the Honkers brand and experience on gamedays<\/li>\n
      • Assist in Honkers gameday ballpark setup needs<\/li>\n
      • Assist in carrying out the in-game\/on-field promotions at every Honker home game<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Corporate Hospitality Internship\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Assist with Director of Group Sales on prospecting for new business<\/li>\n
        • Work with group outing leaders on coordinating logistics for outing at the ballpark\n
            \n
          • Ex: Final numbers, menu, payment, and ticket delivery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
          • Assist with executing outings at Mayo Field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Operations\/Promotions Internship<\/del> – FILLED<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

              \n
            • Assist with Clubhouse needs for Honkers players<\/li>\n
            • Assist Operations Director in executing of gameday itineraries including but not limited to pre\/post game meals and team laundry<\/li>\n
            • Assist in Honkers gameday ballpark setup needs<\/li>\n
            • Assist in carrying out the in-game\/on-field promotions at every Honker home game<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Broadcasting\/Media Relations Internship<\/span><\/strong><\/del>\u00a0 – FILLED<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

                \n
              • Serve as the on-air “Voice of the Honkers” for all video broadcasts of Honkers home games<\/li>\n
              • Work with the Video Team to ensure all gameday broadcasts are an elite presentation<\/li>\n
              • Write and publish game recaps on the Honkers website for all games (home and away)<\/li>\n
              • Assist with Social Media postings\/updates that are team-related when Honkers are on the road<\/li>\n
              • Create the \u201cDaily Goose” publications on gamedays to highlight the matchup, standings, statistics etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Video Director Internship<\/del>\u00a0 – FILLED<\/span>
                \n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

                  \n
                • Coordinate the planning, carryout, and execution of all broadcasts for Honkers home games<\/li>\n

                • Work with the Northwoods League to make sure all requirements meet the standard of the League<\/li>\n

                • Work with the Video Production\/Graphics Coordinator to create, build, and produce Honkers pre-game shows on gamedays<\/li>\n
                • Internship includes online\/tutorial training as provided by the Northwoods League<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  Video Production\/Graphics Internship<\/del> – FILLED<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

                    \n
                  • Coordinate the planning, carryout, and execution of all broadcasts for Honkers home games<\/li>\n
                  • Upload team and league commercials to run during games<\/li>\n
                  • Ensure graphics for the season have been imported into the system<\/li>\n
                  • Work with the Northwoods League to make sure all requirements meet the standard of the League<\/li>\n
                  • Work with ESPN+ and other outside affiliates on special occasions to make sure their needs are met<\/li>\n
                  • Work with the Video Production Director to create, build, and produce Honkers pre-game shows on gamedays<\/li>\n
                  • Breakdown highlights\/replays on a gameday bases to send to social media teams, news affiliates, and\/or the Northwoods League<\/li>\n
                  • Internship includes online\/tutorial training as provided by the Northwoods League<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    Music\/Entertainment Internship<\/del> – FILLED<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

                      \n
                    • Be the DJ for all Honkers home games!<\/li>\n
                    • Set playlists for designated theme nights and nightly promotions<\/li>\n
                    • Work with players on walkup music<\/li>\n
                    • Build database of song catalog in Honkers music computer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      Retail Management Internship<\/del> – FILLED<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

                      • Oversee all inventory during the season<\/li>\n
                      • Oversee and implement the Honkers Online Store during the season<\/li>\n
                      • Track all inventory, cost of goods, gross sales, and report to General Manager and accountant as needed<\/li>\n
                      • Run the National Fleet Graphics Retail Store at Mayo Field for all home games, executing sales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
