{"id":10583,"date":"2018-03-16T13:41:50","date_gmt":"2018-03-16T13:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/rochester-honkers\/?p=10583"},"modified":"2018-03-16T13:43:55","modified_gmt":"2018-03-16T13:43:55","slug":"honkers-front-office-gets-larger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/rochester-honkers\/2018\/03\/16\/honkers-front-office-gets-larger\/","title":{"rendered":"Honkers Front Office Gets Larger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Billy Page Joins Rochester Honkers Front Office<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(Rochester, Minn.) &#8211; <em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>The Rochester Honkers announced today that Billy Page, a 2017 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, has joined the front office team of the Rochester Honkers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t wait to start my full-time career, back in sports,\u201d said Page.\u00a0 \u201cGetting my degree in sports, interning in the Northwoods League, and then into the corporate sales world, I really know where I want to be!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Page spent the summer of 2017 as an Operations Intern for the Kenosha (Wis.) Kingfish, a member club of the Northwoods League.\u00a0 He oversaw three different food service areas, managing over 20 employees.\u00a0 He also played a significant role in field preparations, stadium maintenance, construction, and the \u201cgo to guy\u201d when operation challenges occurred.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI grew up on a dairy farm,\u201d added Page.\u00a0 \u201cSo long hours, thinking on your feet and your own, and just getting stuff done, is a way of life for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Page\u2019s post college full-time career began at 84 Lumber in Gurnee, Ill. as a Manager Trainee.\u00a0 He would sell, receive, ship, order, special-order, and inventory building and construction supplies.\u00a0 He was at a store transfer period in his career before accepting a position with the Honkers.<\/p>\n<p>Page will work in all areas of the organization, including sales and marketing but will focus on the concession operations at Mayo Field during the summer.\u00a0 The 6-foot-3, 215-pound 24-year-old, had to negotiate with his twin brother and parents growing up on what sport each got to play so they both were not away from the farm at the same time.\u00a0 Billy got football.<\/p>\n<p>The Rochester Honkers 25th season begins on Tuesday, May 29th when the team hosts the Eau Claire Express in their home opener at Mayo Field at 7:05 pm. 5-Game Packs and Kids Club Memberships are available now!\u00a0 Season\u00a0Tickets, \u00bd Season Plans, Suites and Patios are also available.
