\n<\/strong>Eddie Mathis tossed his second complete game of the year to lead Bellarmine to a 6-3 win over fifth ranked Illinois-Springfield. He allowed three runs on eight hits and struck out eight. He has moved his season ERA to an impressive 1.93. Mathis has struck out 79 over 70 innings for the Knights. He leads the team in both of those categories. Bellarmine continues play May 10 at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament in Springfield, Mo.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Ray Diaz tossed a career high 7 1\/3 innings for the Toros to pick up his first win of the season. He surrendered two earned runs on six hits and recorded a career high eight strike outs. Diaz has recorded a 6.33 ERA over 54 innings of work and has a 1-3 record. Dominguez Hills plays their last four games of the regular season in a series against Cal Poly Pomona starting May 3.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>David Lemasters earned his third win of the year spinning a seven inning gem for Lake Erie. He allowed one earned run on five hits and whiffed eight. In his last two starts, Lemasters has tossed 14 innings allowing just one earned run and has struck out 16. Lemasters has struck out 66 over 53 innings of work on the year. He improved his ERA to 2.72. Lake Erie travels to Fairmont State today for a doubleheader.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Michael Michalak has consistently produced for the Fighting Illini. The Rochester native hit .333, scored two runs and drove in his 11th<\/sup> run of the year. He also stole a base and roped his seventh double of the year. Michalak is hitting .307, has a .409 on-base percentage and has scored 15 runs. Illinois hosts Southern Illinois tonight at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Reed Hjelle continued to put up video game numbers last weekend. He hit .352 scored four runs and drove in five for the Golden Eagles. He launched his ninth home run of the year and also added a double and a triple. Hjelle leads the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in batting average (.422), home runs and is second in RBIs (47). Minnesota-Crookston travels to Duluth on May 4 to take on Minnesota-Duluth for their last four games of the regular season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
