(Rochester, Minn.) \u2013 <\/strong>Texas and Oregon State have officially qualified for the College World Series in Omaha which means that six Honkers will be on rosters this year.<\/p>\n

Current Honkers Preston Jones (OF), Andy Armstrong (INF) and Alex McGarry are all on the Oregon State roster. Jones played in 32 games including 12 starts and hit .277, scored 11 runs and had 10 RBIs. Armstrong appeared in 41 games and made 33 starts. The sophomore hit .267, scored 17 runs and drove in 20 runs. Armstrong finished fifth on the team with 13 doubles. McGarry did not have any stats due to injury.<\/p>\n

Oregon State finished with a 49-10-1 record and defeated Northwestern State and LSU in the Regional. The Beavers then swept Minnesota in their Super Regional to advance to Omaha for the seventh time in program history. The Beavers are ranked No. 2 in the country.<\/p>\n

Current Honkers on the University of Texas roster are three right-handed pitchers, Matteo Bocchi, Tristan Stevens and Cole Quintanilla. Bocchi compiled a 4-1 record and a 2.98 ERA over 20 appearances. Bocchi threw 37 1\/3 innings and struck out 34. Bocchi started in the elimination game against No. 20 Tennessee Tech and spun five innings allowing one run on four hits and got the win to clinch Texas a spot in the College World Series. Additionally, the junior recorded a save in the first game of regionals against Texas Southern throwing three innings and striking out six.<\/p>\n

Stevens made two starts for the Longhorns throwing 2 1\/3 innings and posting a 3.86 ERA. Quintanilla redshirted this season at Texas and is currently with the Honkers.<\/p>\n

The Longhorns ran through Texas Southern and Texas A&M in the Regional and defeated Tennessee Tech in three games to advance to the College World Series for the 36th<\/sup> time.<\/p>\n
