They took a 2-0 lead in the second on a two run single from Alex Ritzer (UNC). Rochester added three more in the third thanks to an error, bases loaded walk and RBI fielders choice off the bat of Carson Stevens (Cal Poly).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jacob Smith (University of Tennessee at Martin) made his first start as a Honker tonight and was fantastic in his five innings. The 6\u20197\u201d southpaw only allowed one hit and struck out three. The lone blemish on his line was a Shaydon Kubo (Northern Colorado) RBI single in the fifth.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Honkers pulled away after Kubo\u2019s single. They put up three more in the bottom of the fifth to make it 8-1. Two coming on another two run single from Alex Ritzer. Rochester extended their lead with another three spot in the seventh, taking a 11-2 advantage, which wound up being the final score.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Honkers sweep the two game series from the Bucks and improve to 5-3 in the second half. They\u2019ll travel to St. Cloud on Saturday to start a two game series against the Rox. Noah Rooney (Minnesota) gets the ball.
