Later in the game, he hit number four with an inside-the-park homer.<br \/>\nGrant MacAurthur went yard in the fourth to put the Honkers up 4-3. Reiss Calvin hit his own homer in the fifth, a two-run blast.<br \/>\nAfter the Express chased Gauge Lockhart out of the game in the first inning, Joe Gizzi dominated through five innings of work, striking out three.<br \/>\nEau Claire made a comeback in the eighth, taking a 9-8 lead. However, Rochester relayed for five runs, thanks in part to Paul Schoenfeld\u2019s 2-RBI single.<br \/>\nMatthew Lighthall came in and slammed the door in the ninth.<br \/>\nWith this win, Rochester is now 5-1 in the second half. They are in Eau Claire again tomorrow.<br \/>\nThe Rochester Honkers are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and 2019\/2021 Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and 2023 World Series Champion, 2021 and 2023 All-Star, MLB Gold Glove winner and two-time All-MLB first team shortstop Marcus Semien (TEX).
