{"id":3904,"date":"2014-02-13T16:24:38","date_gmt":"2014-02-13T16:24:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/rochester-honkers\/?p=3904"},"modified":"2014-02-13T16:24:38","modified_gmt":"2014-02-13T16:24:38","slug":"honkers-sign-two-rainbow-warriors-from-hawaii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/rochester-honkers\/2014\/02\/13\/honkers-sign-two-rainbow-warriors-from-hawaii\/","title":{"rendered":"Honkers Sign Two Rainbow Warriors from Hawaii"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<strong>(Rochester, MN)<\/strong><strong>&#8212; <\/strong>The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing&nbsp;Jordan Richartz and LJ Brewster from the University of Hawaii for the 2014 Northwoods League Season.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRichartz is a 6-foot, 210-pound junior outfielder who comes to the University of Hawaii from Bellevue Community College in Washington.&nbsp; He finished his sophomore season at Bellevue leading his team in average (.390) doubles (19), RBI (40) and stolen bases (24).&nbsp; He also drew 20 walks and went errorless in the outfield in 47 games.&nbsp; For his efforts he earned first team all-league and all-regional honors and was a second team All-American selection.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tA 2011 graduate of Mercer Island High School in Renton, WA, Richartz was a two-time first team all-league selection and earned academic honors as a sophomore.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBrewster is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound sophomore infielder from Huntington Beach, CA.&nbsp; He saw limited action as a freshman, playing in 15 games and starting seven.&nbsp; Brewster hit .138 with 3 RBIs but did not commit a single error in the infield.&nbsp; A 2012 graduate of Huntington Beach High School, Brewster was voted team MVP as a freshman and sophomore, and finished his senior season hitting .343.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe University of Hawaii kicks off their 2014 season hosting a four-game series this weekend against No. 6 ranked Oregon Ducks in the Outrigger Opening Series.&nbsp; Hawaii and Oregon have opened their last four seasons against each other at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu, HI.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Rochester Honkers 21st season begins on May 27<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;when the Waterloo Bucks prance into Mayo Field for a 7:05pm first pitch.&nbsp; The Honkers will play 72 games in 2014 (36 home, 36 away).&nbsp; Season Tickets, Bonus Books, Suites and Patios are now available.
