\n\tThe Rochester Honkers are pleased to announce the signing of Marcus Ethen from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tEthen, a junior right-handed pitcher, made 16 apprearances with one start for UNO this season, finishing with a 1-3 record and a 4.36 ERA. He totaled 33 innings and 21 strikeouts across those appearances. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tEthen will be the second Nebraska-Omaha player on this season's roster, joining outfielder Alex Schultz. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Honkers next home game will be Thursday, July 16th<\/span> against the Willmar Stingers. It will be Mayo Department of Medicine Night, and a Novo Nordisk Homerun for Life Thursday.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rochester Honkers are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd<\/sup><\/em> season of summer collegiate baseball in 2015, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
