\n\t(Rochester, Minn.)- The Honkers lost 9-1 to the St. Cloud Rox Monday night in Rochester. Marcus Ethen (Nebraska-Omaha) was charged with the loss for the Honkers. Reliever Collin Strall (LSU) earned the win for the Rox in his four innings of work.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tAdam Walton (Illinois) had three of the Honkers’ seven hits, including a pair of doubles.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe loss brought the Honkers’ six game winning streak to an end, leaving them at 38-29 for the year, ted with the Duluth Huskies for third in the North division as the teams continue to jockey for playoff seeding.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tSt. Cloud brought the heat early and held a 5-0 run after four innings. Rochester would finally get on the board when Cole Krzmarzick (Nevada) would single to left field and bring in Mark Contreras (UC Riverside) to make it 5-1.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tSt. Cloud would plate one more in the seventh and three in the eighth to pull away and seal the 9-1 Honkers loss.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tTuesday will be the NWL Major League Dreams Showcase in Madison. The Honkers next home game will be on Wednesday, August 5th, against St. Cloud at 7:05 p.m. The last Fireworks Extravaganza of the season will follow, sponsored by ABC 6 News.\n<\/p>\n
