\n\t(Rochester, Minn.) – <\/b> Drew Ellis (Louisville) went 1-for-4 and scored a run at the Major League Dreams Showcase in Madison, Wis. Tuesday night. He was the lone representative from the Rochester Honkers in the annual double-header event.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tEllis laced a single to left field in his second at-bat, and eventually came around to score, but the Visiting team defeated the Home team 6-5 in game one of the double header.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tEllis got the start at third base and made a couple nice defensive plays in the field.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tTrailing 1-0 in the third, the Home team scored two runs on a RBI double from Eau Claire’s Alex McKenna (Cal Poly) to take a 2-1 lead, and then Ellis scored on a wild pitch to make the score 3-1.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Visiting team scored in the fourth and seventh, and took the lead with a three-run eighth inning, that was topped off when Mankato’s Chase Hamilton (Cal Poly) hit a double to score his MoonDogs’ teammate Jordan Kozicky (Minnesota) and give the Visiting team a 6-3 lead.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Home team scored in the ninth on a sacrifice fly from La Crosse’s Mason McCoy, and another run later in the inning but the Visiting team left with a 6-5 win.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tMcKenna went 1-for-2 with two RBI to lead the Home team, while Hamilton went 2-for-3 with two RBI to lead the Visiting team.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe La Crosse Loggers’ Cason Sherrod (Texas A&M) took the loss for the Home team, as he allowed three runs, two of them earned, on one hit and walked one. St. Cloud’s Aaron Rozek (Minnesota-State Mankato) picked up the win after throwing a perfect seventh inning. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tGame two of the double header is set for 7:35 p.m.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Honkers are back at home on Wednesday against the St. Cloud Rox on Fan \/ Host Family appreciation night! First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. and gates open at 6:00! The Honkers will head to Duluth on Thursday to take on the Huskies in a two-game series. Thursday and Friday’s first pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.\n<\/p>\n
