{"id":8973,"date":"2017-03-30T13:34:53","date_gmt":"2017-03-30T13:34:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/rochester-honkers\/?p=8973"},"modified":"2017-03-30T15:55:06","modified_gmt":"2017-03-30T15:55:06","slug":"honkers-add-two-local-products-temporary-roster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/rochester-honkers\/2017\/03\/30\/honkers-add-two-local-products-temporary-roster\/","title":{"rendered":"Honkers Add Two Local Products To Temporary Roster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em>Lyle and Albert Lea Natives to Join the Flock<\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>(Rochester Minn.) <\/strong>&ndash; The Rochester Honkers announced today that Lyle, Minn. native Jordan Hart, and Albert Lea product, Johnathan Fleek, have signed temporary contracts with the Rochester Honkers for the 2017 season.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHart is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound sophomore outfielder from Minnesota State Mankato.&nbsp; He is currently hitting .393 (second on the team) for the 13-4 Mavericks.&nbsp; Hart leads the team in RBIs (16), Doubles (6), and second in home runs with two.&nbsp; Hart has started every game for the Mavericks in right field and hits third or fourth in the lineup.&nbsp; As a freshman, Hart hit .320 ranking him 5<sup>th<\/sup> on the team.&nbsp; He started 47 of 50 games, collecting 55 hits in 172 at bats.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHart graduated from Lyle Public High School in 2015, where he earned all-conference and academic all-conference honors three times.&nbsp; He was the team&rsquo;s offensive player of the year and team MVP in 2014, after hitting .539.&nbsp; He also played football and basketball.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFleek is a 5-foot-7, 165-pound junior infielder from Western Illinois.&nbsp; He currently is leading the Fighting Leathernecks with his .349 batting average.&nbsp; Through 22 games, Fleek also leads the team in RBIs (11) and second in on base percentage with .432.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFleek started his collegiate career at Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls, Iowa.&nbsp; He finished his sophomore season hitting .335 with five home runs, 33 RBIs and seven stolen bases.&nbsp; As a freshman, he hit .326 with 24 RBIs and six stolen bases.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Rochester Honkers 24<sup>th<\/sup> season begins on Tuesday, May 30<sup>th<\/sup> when the team hosts the Mankato Moondogs in their home opener at Mayo Field at 7:05 pm. <strong>The NEW 5-Game Packs are available now! <\/strong>&nbsp;Season Tickets, &frac12; Season Plans, Suites and Patios are also available.
