Veteran coach Bob Koopmann brings nearly three decades of collegiate coaching experience, including 20 successful seasons at Rockford University, to the Rivets organization. Known for building competitive, winning programs, Koopmann led the Regents to three conference titles and two tournament championships, highlighted by a school-record 29-win season in 2007. Throughout his tenure, he has also helped develop multiple players into professional baseball, showcasing his ability to elevate talent to the next level.<\/p>\n

Koopmann\u2019s coaching career includes successful stops at Ashford University and Illinois Valley Community College, where he consistently turned programs into winners and produced dozens of players who advanced to four-year schools and professional baseball. In addition to his collegiate success, he brings professional experience as the former manager of the Rockford River Hawks, leading the team to a Frontier League Championship in 2004. A former minor league pitcher in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, Koopmann adds a deep understanding of the game and a proven track record of success to the Rivets staff.<\/p>\n
