The Northwoods League Foundation (\u201cFoundation\u201d) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves as a vehicle to transform a shared passion for baseball into positive change and support for communities. The Mission of the Northwoods League Foundation is: To utilize the game of baseball to enrich the quality of life for children and families with an enduring and caring focus on Northwoods League communities.<\/h4>\n

This summer, the Northwoods League is hosting the \u00a0softball summer league. The teams will reside in La Cross, WI; Madison, WI; Mankato, MN; Wausau, WI; Grand Forks, ND; and Minot, ND. With women’s sports at the forefront of the Northwoods League mind, one local SOFTBALL organization will be awarded a set of team equipment!<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div>

What does the grant include?<\/th>\nWho is Eligible to Receive the Grant?<\/th>\nHow will grant applications be accepted & awarded?<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n

    \n
  • (1) Set of Catchers Gear (helmet, chest protector, shin guards, mitt)<\/li>\n
  • (6) Batting Helmets<\/li>\n
  • (10) Fielding Gloves (7 RH, 2 LH, 1 Catchers Mitt)<\/li>\n
  • (1) Bucket of Practice Softballs<\/li>\n
  • (3) Bats (27 in.-20 in.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n
The following criteria must be met in order to be eligible to receive the grant:<\/p>\n
    \n
  • Organization qualifies as a 501(c)(3) organization, school or school-based program, or community-based organization as defined under US IRC section 501 (c)(3)<\/li>\n
  • Organization is not an individual, for-profit business, political, or religious organization;<\/li>\n
  • Organization provides opportunities for kids ages 9-12 to play baseball or softball within a community that is served by a Northwoods League affiliate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n
Affiliate Teams will be accepting grant applications from organizations within their community. The foundation will not directly accept applications. The deadline to apply for the 2026 grant is May 15th<\/strong><\/p>\n

The grant recipient will be chosen by the Northwoods League Foundation and be notified by the Rivets in mid-May.
