The league and its entire community are reeling from this profound loss and offer their heartfelt condolences to Conor’s family, friends, and colleagues during this challenging time. Fortunately, the two other umpires traveling with Conor are currently in stable condition.<\/p>\n
Conor McKenzie was an exceptional and highly regarded umpire, celebrated for his unwavering professionalism, unwavering dedication, and immense love for the game. He joined the Northwoods League in 2019 and swiftly became an indispensable member of the umpiring crew, leaving an indelible mark on players, coaches, and fans alike. Over the course of his tenure, Conor officiated close to 350 Northwoods League games, including every all-star game and postseason match throughout his four previous seasons.<\/p>\n
