This year\u2019s Rockford Rivets team is already a stand-out baseball team. Rockford\u2019s coaching staff has been very vocal on how they think the team is pulling together, and the friendships that are being formed. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Coach Keim speaks on team development: \u201cThey\u2019ve been together for five games now, and these guys are starting to get to know each other, and get comfortable in a good way where we can see good things happening on and off the field. They spend a lot of time in the clubhouse with each other, and they\u2019re becoming good friends.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pitching coach Adam Carey also spoke on this matter: \u201cThis group of guys is nothing but positive and largely resilient night in and night out. These guys are making connections both on and off the field. I think the difference between our club and most other summer ball teams is this: Most other teams want to play ball, get on the field, and get off the field, and strictly just do their job. Our guys seem like they truly want to make lasting relationships, and be there to support each other. From a coaching perspective, that is absolutely amazing to see.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Rockford catcher Brendan Krob had only 4 choice words on the matter: \u201cThe screws are loose.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Krob\u2019s words, of course, being a slang way to say that the team is already a tight-knit group of friends. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Rivets next home game is this Wednesday, as they take on the Traverse City Pit Spitters. <\/span><\/p>\n
