2024 Royal Oak Leprechauns Reading Program Information

The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. It is the largest organized summer collegiate baseball league in the world with 26 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. The 2025 season will mark the 32nd season of the League’s existence.  A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, over 370 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball.

What is the Leprechauns Reading Program?

This program was designed to encourage students to read more with an incentive-based agenda.  Each student is encouraged to Hit a Homerun by meeting goals during the month of March.  Teachers can work with students to set up goals based upon their level of reading.

Why Participate?

The Royal Oak Leprechauns Reading Program is a fun and different way to help develop students to read more.  Each participant that hits a “Homerun” will receive two (2) FREE tickets to attend a 2024 Leprechauns game at Historical Memorial Park.  These students will be honored on the field before the game.  Every teacher that help the students with the program will receive two (2) FREE tickets as well and family members of our “Homerun” hitters will receive special discounted tickets!

*Over 35 charities work with the Leprechauns to raise money for their causes
