Director of Marketing, Promotions & Community Relations

The St. Cloud Rox, a premiere summer collegiate club, is looking to hire an experienced Marketing, Promotions and Community Relations Director to join our team.  The St. Cloud Rox enters their sixth season and has attracted nearly 300,000 fans over the past five seasons.  This is a great opportunity for an energetic individual to make their mark as a leader in sports.

The Director of Marketing, Promotions & Community Relations is responsible for new business development, day-to-day operations of the team’s promotions and community relations department including, hiring and managing interns, schedule coordination, marketing/sales and proposal writing. The objectives are to strengthen the team’s brand to drive ticket sales and corporate sponsorship revenues while managing the sales, promotions and community relations aspects of the club. This individual will work in tandem with top team executives to develop and execute the club’s promotions, marketing and community relations plan.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist in the development of business sales strategies to increase revenue and build upon marketing efforts of the team.  Expand, prospect and generate new corporate partnerships through interaction in the community. Assist in the development, implementation and analysis of marketing and sales campaigns. Coordinate event, promotional and game schedules. Coordinate the development and execution of game day promotions and game presentation.  Manage the community relations department which coordinates the calendar and balances the number and type of appearances made by players, coaches and mascot. All other duties as assigned by Managing Partner.


  • History of personal and organizational sales success  
  • Prior face to face sales experience is required
  • Experience in successfully developing and generating ticket, group and or sponsorship revenues
  • Successful history of creating and implementing strategic promotional plans 
  • Strong communication, organizational and team building skills
  • Proven leadership and management abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Highly motivated with a desire to meet and exceed stipulated goals
  • Customer service oriented
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Passionate about baseball and sports in general
  • A bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college
