\n\tWaterloo, IA<\/strong> — The Rox (26-13) have hit the ball well, and Friday was no different. 8 of the 10 players who took plate appearances tallied a hit. Cameron Eden (Cal) led the way with a double and three runs scored. Despite the balanced hitting, the Rox dropped their first game of their series with the Bucks 14-4.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to the balanced hitting, the Rox drew 7 walks, led by Angelo Altavilla (Nebraska) and Brendan Illies (North Carolina) with two each. Shane Selman (McNeese State) showed in the 1st inning why he was 1 of 5 Rox selected as All-Stars earlier this morning. He blooped an RBI single to Rightfield to give St. Cloud the early lead. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tMatt Tarantino (Pacific) doubled towards the end of the game, and drove in Eden for his 24th RBI this year. Michael Busch (North Carolina) had one as well for the second straight game.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tA big bright spot was also the relief pitchers out of the bullpen. Will Reese (LSU), Anthony DiMeglio (Fordham) and Shelby Lackey (Pacific) combined to toss 3 hitless innings. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tSt. Cloud, who already won the 1st half regular season, looks to bounce back tomorrow night against Waterloo with the 1st pitch coming at 6:35 PM. Then we'll head to Bismarck for a two game series against the Larks. We then return home Tuesday night in a game against the MoonDogs. There will be a Rox drawstring bag giveaway to the 1st 300 kids 14 and under presented by Central Minnesota Credit Union. It will also be our 1st taco Tuesday! Each fan at the game will receive a certificate for a free taco at taco johns.
