\n\tSt. Cloud, MN<\/strong> — Drew Avans (Southeastern Louisiana) is <\/em>speed. Seriously. The Centerfielder etched his name is the Rox record books tonight on one of the best plays of the season. In a 1-1 game in the bottom of the 8th inning, Avans was on 3rd after his RBI triple to tie the game. The Border Cats were caught napping after a ball was thrown to Angelo Altavilla (Nebraska), and Avans took full advantage of that. He stole home to give St. Cloud the lead, and set the record for most stolen bases in a single season with 25.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tEven though they took the lead to the 9th, the Rox could not hold on and fell 5-2 Monday night to the Border Cats.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAvans had another hit in the 3rd inning and stole another base. Keaton Kringlen (BYU) had the only other hit for St. Cloud, on a day their starting pitching was unbelievable again.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAaron Rozek (Minnesota State-Mankato) earned the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night again. <\/em>For the 3rd time this year he earned the honor, and with good reason. He threw 7 scoreless innings and only allowed 3 hits. The lefty also struck out 11, two away from his own Rox record he set last month.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tSt. Cloud look to salvage the series tomorrow night against Thunder Bay. 1st pitch is at 7:05 PM where there will be a Rox team poster giveaway presented by Rengel Printing and Bulldog Photo to the 1st 1,500 fans in attendance.\n<\/p>\n
