\n\tSt. Cloud, MN<\/strong> — This season the Rox have won in a variety of ways. From game-winning hits to errors we thought we had seen it all.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThought.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the bottom of the 9th, the Rox won for the first time this year on a walk-off walk to take down the Larks 2-1. Daniel Schneemann (BYU) came up with 2 outs, and patiently took enough pitches to drive in the winning run. Mason Mamarella (Kent State) scored after he led off the inning with a walk that eventually propelled St. Cloud to their 31st win this year.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe only other offense it put up tonight was in the 2nd where Mamarella singled and then stole his 13th base. He set up Trevor Putzig (Tennessee Tech) to bring him in with an RBI double later in the inning. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rox can thank their Northwoods League best pitching staff for taking care of this one. Kyle Boser (St. Cloud State) was unbelievable in his 2nd start. He recorded a season-high 8 strikeouts, and gave up just 1 run on a solo home run in the 2nd. Other than that the Rox starter was flawless. Bobby Gauvreau (Minnesota State – Mankato) came on in relief and stifled the Larks offense like Boser. He tossed two innings giving up one hit, and striking out three. Brent Killam (Georgetown) entered in the 9th and slammed the door quickly on Bismarck. He struck out the first two hitters he faced and then forced a groundout. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThanks to Schneemann's patience, Killam picked up his 3rd win of the season. St. Cloud looks to continue its winning ways and win two straight games for the first time in the 2nd half in their season finale against Bismarck. Tomorrow's game is set for a 7:05 PM start where there will be Friday Night Fireworks presented by McDonald's Meats.\n<\/p>\n
