\n\tSt. Cloud, MN<\/strong> — The Rox did all their damage early Friday night. In front of 1,798 fans at home, they scored one in the 2nd and six in the 3rd to power past the Larks 7-3. They finished up their series with their 7th win over Bismarck, and have found their groove in this series.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tSt. Cloud totaled 13 hits and saw every single starter contribute. Four players had multiple hits, and three had two or more RBIs. The 3rd inning started with back-to-back hits from Daniel Schneemann (BYU) and Matthew Tarantino (Pacific). Keaton Kringlen (BYU) was then hit by a pitch, which set up Michael Busch (North Carolina). His double in the gap drove in two and made it 3-0. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tLater in the inning, Trevor Putzig (Tennessee Tech) came through with the bases loaded. After his HBP RBI in the 2nd, he made it 5-0 lead after an RBI single. His 3rd RBI was earned by Busch, who got caught up in a pickle between 3rd and home plate. He danced back and forth, like something you'd see out of The Sandlot. <\/em>Like Benny Rodriguez, Busch made it home safely. Ricardo Sanchez (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) capped the scoring following a 2 run double to put the Rox up 7-0.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tJake Stevenson (Minnesota) was solid in his 3rd start of the season. After a dominant performance last night, the Rox built off it and kept the Larks stunned for most of the game. Stevenson went 6 innings just giving up 1 run and 1 hit. He picked up his 1st win of the year thanks to his big lead to work with. It didn't matter as much tonight thanks to another stout outing on the mound, where the Rox surrendered only 4 hits.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMason Mamarella (Kent State) added 3 hits for the Rox as well for the 2nd time this season. Schneemann, Sanchez and Tarantino collected multiple hits.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rox face off against the Huskies in a double-header tomorrow. We will resume a game postponed from last week in the top of the 5th inning, where the Rox will be the road team. After the 9 innings are done, there will be a 30 minute break then a 7 inning game to follow. Saturday is also S’mores versus Campfires Night presented by Mix 94.9. The entire night will be dedicated to the Northwoods treat, the s’more. The teams will be wearing S’mores and Campfires uniforms. There will be marshmallow roasting, a youth campout and s’more!\n<\/p>\n
