The St. Cloud Rox are excited to announce the organization is accepting applications for the\u00a0\u201cShare the Glove\u201d Youth Equipment Grant Program in conjunction with the Northwoods League Foundation. The\u00a0\u201cShare the Glove\u201d program provides youth baseball and softball equipment annually in every Northwoods League market.<\/p>\n

The Northwoods League Foundation is a charitable organization that serves as a vehicle to transform a shared passion for baseball and softball into positive change and support for communities. The Foundation will be awarding more than $55,000 in youth baseball and softball equipment through 22\u00a0Share the Glove<\/em>\u00a0grants to be awarded this Spring. Each grant, with an approximate retail value of $2,500, will include two sets of catcher\u2019s gear, ten gloves, eight batting helmets, six bats and one bucket of practice balls.<\/p>\n

In 2019, a youth softball team in Central Minnesota will be receiving a $2,500 equipment grant as part of the \u201cShare the Glove\u201d Youth Equipment Grant Program. The deadline to apply for the grant is\u00a0Wednesday, April 10<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What is the grant?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The grant is a standardized set of Rawlings equipment, sized for youth ages 9-12. In 2019, it will include:<\/p>\n

Youth Softball Grant<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2013 (2) Sets of catcher\u2019s gear (helmet, chest protector, shin guards, mitt)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2013 (8) Batting helmets<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2013 (10) Fielding gloves (8 right, 2 left)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2013 (1) Bucket of practice softballs<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2013 (6) Bats (27 in. \u2013 30 in.)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Who is eligible to receive the softball grant?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The following criteria must be met in order to be eligible to receive the grant:<\/p>\n
