\"\"Waterloo, IA\u2013 St. Cloud (1-2) turned three double plays but fell 12-4 to the Waterloo Bucks in game one of the two-game road series.<\/p>\n

After allowing three runs in the bottom of the second inning, the Rox turned a critical 4-6-3 double play to get out of the jam.<\/span><\/p>\n

The team responded in the next half inning, scoring two runs and cutting the deficit to one run. Dustin Wilcox (Minot State) scored from second base off of an error from the Waterloo shortstop to put the Rox on the board. Tyler Finke (Southeastern Louisiana) followed that with a sac-fly to center field that scored Thomas Delgadillo (Academy of Art). <\/span><\/p>\n

St. Cloud tacked on another run in the fifth inning after a fielding error from Waterloo. The last run scored came in the ninth inning, when Wilcox hit an RBI single up the middle that scored Zack Elliott (Minnesota) from third base.<\/span><\/p>\n

Carter Bosch (Georgetown) got the start for St. Cloud on the mound. Austin Nikolas (North Dakota State), Gus Radel (Minnesota) and Drew Garrett (Johnson County CC) all saw relief work out of the bullpen.<\/span><\/p>\n

St. Cloud takes on Waterloo in the series finale Friday with a 6:35 first pitch time at Riverfront Stadium.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rox home opener is Saturday, June 1 at 7:05 p.m., featuring post-game fireworks presented by Coborn\u2019s. The first pitch will be thrown out by World Series Champion and former Minnesota Twin Steve Lombardozzi.
