Rochester, MN \u2013 Trevor Koenig (St. Cloud State) earned his second win of the season, allowing no runs in five innings pitched as St. Cloud (9-10) defeated Rochester (11-8) by a final score of 3-1. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Rox had three consecutive scoring innings, beginning in the top of the fifth inning. Brendan Tinsman (Wake Forest) hit an RBI-single to left field that scored Garrett Delano (Brown) from second base. Tinsman finished the day with three hits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Delano would deliver in the top of the sixth inning, this time with a solo home run over the left field wall to put St. Cloud ahead 2-0. Both of his home runs this season have come at Mayo Field.<\/span><\/p>\n

The final run would come in the top of the seventh inning when Brady Harlan (Oklahoma) drew a walk with the bases loaded and was credited with the RBI.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following Koenig\u2019s start, Justin Wick (Creighton) pitched the sixth and seventh inning while Joey Stock (St. Johns) earned the save after hurling the eighth and ninth inning.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rox will close their four-game road stand on Saturday against Rochester. First pitch from Mayo Field is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

St. Cloud returns home on Sunday against the Duluth Huskies with a 4:05 p.m. first pitch time. It\u2019s Father\u2019s Day at the ballpark. It\u2019s also a Coborn\u2019s Kids Day, where children will have the opportunity to run the bases and get autographs on the field after the game.<\/span><\/p>\n
