{"id":15684,"date":"2023-06-07T23:46:02","date_gmt":"2023-06-08T03:46:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/thunder-bay-border-cats\/?p=15684"},"modified":"2023-06-07T23:46:02","modified_gmt":"2023-06-08T03:46:02","slug":"cats-fall-to-huskies-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/thunder-bay-border-cats\/2023\/06\/07\/cats-fall-to-huskies-3\/","title":{"rendered":"CATS FALL TO HUSKIES"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The Thunder Bay Border Cats offence was held in check on Wednesday as the home side dropped a 3-1 decision to the Duluth Huskies at Port Arthur Stadium.\u00a0 The Cats (3-5), managed only three hits and had a tough night defensively making four errors in the third inning that led to a pair of Duluth runs as the Huskies evened the four-game series at a game apiece.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Caden Fiveash (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) pitched well for Thunder Bay, but was saddled with the loss, dropping his record to 1-1.\u00a0 The righthander went five innings and allowed one earned run on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts.\u00a0 Reliever Jacob Gajic (Northwest Missouri State University) had a good outing in relief as the lefthander from Hamilton, ON, pitched three innings and struck out three, while allowing one run. Trey Lewis (South Alabama) drove in the Cats only run with a third inning single.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The two teams meet again on Thursday at 6:35pm with righthander Peyton Fosher (University of Nevada) taking his 1-0 record to the mound for Thunder Bay.\u00a0 It&#8217;s Pride Night at the ballpark and &#8220;Thirsty Thursday&#8221; as fans 19-years of age and older can enjoy $5 tall boys from Sleeping Giant Brewery.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><i>(photo courtesy of James Mirabelli Photography)<\/i><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><span class=\"x_x_ContentPasted0 x_ContentPasted0\">###<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\"><i class=\"x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_ContentPasted0 x_ContentPasted0\">The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players.
