{"id":15701,"date":"2023-06-11T21:30:03","date_gmt":"2023-06-12T01:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/thunder-bay-border-cats\/?p=15701"},"modified":"2023-06-11T21:30:03","modified_gmt":"2023-06-12T01:30:03","slug":"cats-sweep-rox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/thunder-bay-border-cats\/2023\/06\/11\/cats-sweep-rox\/","title":{"rendered":"CATS SWEEP ROX"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The Thunder Bay Border Cats climbed back to the .500 mark on Sunday in St. Cloud with a 7-4 victory to complete a two-game weekend sweep of the Rox.\u00a0 The Cats (6-6), scored four times in the second inning , pushed across one run in the seventh and then tacked on two more insurance runs in the top of the ninth.\u00a0 Eight of the nine batters in the Thunder Bay lineup recorded a hit with Trey Lewis (South Alabama) and Logan Johnstone (Gonzaga University) both driving in a pair of runs.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div class=\"x_x_elementToProof x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_x_elementToProof x_elementToProof\" data-event-added=\"1\">Caleb Bunch (Ranger College) had a dominating outing on the mound for the Cats as he improved his record to 2-0 with a 1.<span class=\"HQEo7\" role=\"link\" data-markjs=\"true\">50 earned run average.\u00a0 The righthander from Keller, TX<\/span>, fired eight innings of three-hit ball, allowing two runs (one earned), with one walk and seven strikeouts.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_x_elementToProof x_elementToProof\">The Cats will face the Rox again on Monday night, but this time at Port Arthur Stadium at 6:35pm, as the teams kick off a two-game game set, which concludes on Tuesday morning with a special start time of 11:05am.\u00a0 Righthander Sam Peterson (Texas State University) will make his season debut on the mound in the opener on Monday and the first 250 fans thru the gates receive a 2023 Magnetic Schedule courtesy of Taco Time.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_x_elementToProof\">\n<div class=\"x_x_x_elementToProof\"><i><b><span class=\"x_x_x_x_elementToProof\"><span class=\"x_x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_ContentPasted0\">###<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<div class=\"x_x_x_x_elementToProof\">\n<p class=\"x_x_x_x_x_x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0\"><i class=\"x_x_x_x_x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_x_ContentPasted0 x_x_ContentPasted0\">The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players.
