{"id":16922,"date":"2026-05-29T23:48:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-30T03:48:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/thunder-bay-border-cats\/?p=16922"},"modified":"2026-05-29T23:48:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-30T03:48:10","slug":"cats-walk-off-express","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/thunder-bay-border-cats\/2026\/05\/29\/cats-walk-off-express\/","title":{"rendered":"CATS WALK OFF EXPRESS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Thunder Bay Border Cats pulled out a thrilling 2-1 win in 10 innings to win their home opener over the Eau Claire Express on Friday before a big crowd of 2,345 fans at Port Arthur Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>With the Cats trailing 1-0 in the bottom of tenth and the tying run on second base with the extra inning runner, Manny Alberto (Western Kentucky University) doubled down the right field line to score Jesus Vasquez (University of Hawaii).
