\n\tTHUNDER BAY ADDS TWO FROM RIDGEWATER\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThunder Bay Border Catss have added a pair of players from Ridgewater College in Willmar Minnesota to their 2016 line up including, Thunder Bay native Cooper Lamke.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThird baseman Cooper Lamke (Ridgewater) is in his sophomore year with the Warriors and has notched 17 runs on 24 hits in 33 games while picking up 10 RBI. Lamke will be one of two local players joining the 2016 Border Cats roster.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFellow sophomore and right-handed pitcher Jordan Thompson (Ridgewater) has 40.2 innings on the mound striking out 24 averaging 5.31 strikeouts per game.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Border Cats open their season at home against the Mankato Moondogs on May 31st<\/sup> at 7:05pm at TbaytTel Park.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Border Cats are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 3rd season of summer collegiate baseball in 2016, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 140 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS),Jordan Zimmermann (DET), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (CHC). All league games are viewable live via the Northwoods League Website.  <\/em>\n<\/p>\n
