\n\tTHREE CATS HEAD TO MAJOR LEAGUE DREAM SHOWCASE<\/u><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThunder Bay, Ont. – Three members of the 2016 Border Cats roster will be headed to Madison Wisconsin for the Northwoods League Annual Major League Dreams Showcase.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMitch Bigras (Boston College), Michael Papierski (Louisiana State), Andy Weber (University of Virginia) will all be heading to Madison Tuesday August 9th<\/sup> to participate in the showcase. The showcase, which consists of a day of workouts and two games in the evening is selected by a panel of MLB scouts to bring together the top players of the Northwoods League.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMitch Bigras has put up 18 runs on 28 hits as a Border Cat notching a .283 batting average. Bigras leads the team with three tipples, including one to earn a walk off win against the Rochester Honkers. The Ontario native has earned a .994 fielding percentage with 160 put outs with only one error.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLouisiana State catcher Michael Papierski has had an impressive season behind the dish putting out 156 players in 194.2 innings of play. Papierski has earned a .298 batting average picking up two home runs, 25 runs and 16 RBI.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tJoining Bigras and Paperski in Madison will be second baseman Andy Weber (Virginia). Weber has a .995 fielding percentage over 339.2 innings. The six-foot freshman is leading the Cats with six stolen bases and has earned a .317 batting average with 53 hits and 11 RBI.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe games will take places 4:05pm CST \/ 5:05pm EST with the remaining players playing at 7:35pm CST \/ 8:35pm EST.\n<\/p>\n
